Presentazione del XX Raduno
Dear friends,
when we are called to organize an event we live always different emotions: on one side we are impatients to meet again our friends and to meet new ones, on the other side we are worried because the event could not be appreciated enough from all participants.
Italy gives us even bigger challenge because everywhere you go beauty is too much and there are too many things to do in the short time of a week end.
This time the 6c Register decided to visit Veneto region asking me to offer everybody something difficult to forget.
Our choice has been to follow the roads that saw part of the life of Caterina Corner that was Queen of Cyprus and Signora di Asolo after she was called back in Venice.
We will stay on one of the Villas she had that today, after many years of oblivion, came back to its splendor becoming a beautiful hotel.
On Friday afternoon we will go to Venice by bus for a short but intense visit to the worldwide famous city.
A private boat will take us to Piazza San Marco and a guide will tell us about its secrets but will give us also the time for walking around and …. Shopping.
We will close the day in a traditional venetian way: appetizer in a “bacaro” with special finger food and dinner at the Taverna Remer.
On Saturday finally driving again our 6c we will be on the roads of the Queen along medieval towns and the beautiful hills around the country in which the protagonists are the Prosecco vineyards so you will realize why Valdobbiadene is the world capitol of this wine.
We will stop for visiting Villa Sandi with its famous caves and the historical aircrafts of the Jonathan Collection.
After coming back to the hotel and relax we will have our gala dinner in the noble hall, in a place and atmosphere difficult to forget.
On Sunday we will drive in direction of Villafranca di Verona where the friends of Nicolis Musem wait for us to show their collection.
After the Musem a short but nice drive will take us to Borghetto di Valeggio sul Mincio, one of the best beautiful villages in Italy, where we will taste their famous “tortellino”.
A legend of the 13TH century says it was born after a love promise: our promise will be simply to meet again as soon as possible with our 6c.
