Le 6C 2500 in Baden-Wurttemberg

Raduno 6C 2500 5-7 Giugno 2015

XVIII Raduno Registro Internazionale Alfa Romeo 6c2500/2300

For the first time in Germany, our 6C 2300 and 2500 meeting was nice and sunny. Friday afternoon after having checked in at the Mawell Resort in Langenburg we visited the car museum near the city castle, with some interesting cars ( Lambda torpedo, Augusta cabrio Pininfarina, Maserati Sebring, some post war small german cars etc.) with some surprising pieces such as a Ferrari F 40 near a Lancia Astura.

We returned to the hotel afterwards to have a drink and dinner on the spectacular terrace, a bit hot, but always beautiful, with a great company. We are a limited number of members on the 6C Registry but we fit well together.

On Saturday morning we had a long drive across the German countryside , beautiful roads, beautiful sun, with a temperature well above the German average. We visited the Science, car and technic museum at Sinsheim afterwards. It was sensational, wonderful, impressive. Very important cars, trains, motorbikes, airplanes, from the Maybach to the Bugatti even a Royale!, from Ferrari to the Horch, from the Lamborghini to the Mercedes, with enormous locomotives and several airplanes among which there was also a Concorde.

And our beloved Alfa? Only one, albeit very interesting the Jankovits 6C 2300, but otherwise there was really everything. Still a bit dazed for what we have seen, especially for us Italians, we had lunch at the museum afterwards. In the afternoon Claudio Giorgetti 6C 2500 Aerlux had an unfortunate problem. We loaded the car on a truck and we continued the tour and after a coffee break in a nice place we returned to the hotel driving across the countryside.

Here after a deserved rest we run the registry meeting, with plenty of discussion on the future of our club and on the necessity to increase the number of members todays standing a 39. We decided that the next year meeting will be held at Garda Lake on the first week end of June, book the date, hopefully there will be lots of us. Afterwards dinner at the hotel with the sole inconvenience of very transparent glasses on the terrace, so much that some of us hit them. Dinner was delicious with a great company.

The day after a long tour on the beautiful surrounding countryside, crossing some typical villages with a final arrival at Schwabish Hall home of the famous Wurth collection. After having parked in Marketplatz under a boiling sun we finally get a coffee break. The historical part of the city is full of surprises with churches, museum and old dwellings, a deep history explained by a passionate tour guide. We move towards the restaurant housed in an old warehouse with a fantastic view of the city. After lunch, time to say goodbye. The loading operations on the truck proceed without troubles and we return waiting for the next meeting.
