2022

Dear Members, dear Friends, 
the improvement of the Covid pandemic has allowed us in 2022 to resume, at least partially, our usual activities. Despite a very complicated and in some ways tragic general situation, the drama of the terrible war in Ukraine and the very difficult international economic contingencies, our Registry has begun to live again by participating in events, exhibitions and gatherings. In particular, we finally managed to hold the XXIII International Raduno, excellently organized by our friend Gianni Tesauro in the beautiful city of Trieste last September. With the irreplaceable and as usual effective support of Emanuele Morteo, Fabrizio Borghi and Claudio Giorgetti (thanks so much to all of them), Gianni made us visit beautiful monuments, for all the Miramare Castle and made us drive on suggestive roads, for example the climb that leads from Trieste to Opicina, route of the famous uphill race of the past. Above all, as always, a very pleasant atmosphere of great friendship and conviviality with a rich participation of magnificent 6C. During the Raduno, the General Assembly of the Registry was also held, this year also dedicated to the renewal of the corporate offices which saw, in short, the confirmation of the officers already in office- A warm thanks also to Lucie Collins, who came to Trieste  from Canada with her husband Oliver, author of a fantastic photo shoot.
The assembly also decided that the next International Raduno will take place from 26 to 28 May 2023 between Italy and Switzerland and precisely on the shores of Lake Maggiore that connect Stresa to Ascona with a scheduled trip to Lugano to visit the precious Alfa Romeo collection owned by our member and friend Axel Marx. As a Registry we also participated with a stand in the latest edition of the famous Padua antique car and motorcycle fair. As many probably already know, from the next edition the event will move to Bologna, to a larger and more comfortable exhibition venue and to a city that is more easily accessible by train, car and plane. In our stand Fabrizio Borghi's very nice and much admired Freccia d'Oro was exhibited, which the owner drove on the road both outward and return. The stand was very popular and also allowed us to acquire new members. So, all really good! 
In reminding everyone to renew the membership fee for 2023 (Euros 80 to be paid to our excellent Treasurer Fabrizio Borghi IBAN IT 42D0344033870000000454100 and BIC code BDBDIT22), the only source of support for our Registry, obviously together with a percentage of the proceeds deriving from the organization of Raduno and after thanking our Register Keeper Alessandro Salvetti, for his precious work, I can only wish you all, your families and your loved ones the warmest wishes for the upcoming Holidays, trusting that the next year will be better than the one that is ending both as regards the health panorama and as regards the general financial and economic sphere. Above all, we share the hope and wish that 2023 will be a year of peace.
